(Beyond the materials, the EXT otherwise sports the same silhouette as the standard LeBron 11, as opposed to the LeBron 11 NSW Lifestyle which is an entirely distinct model that merely uses the XI as inspiration.)While this shoe has quickly gained the Presleyan nickname “Blue Suede,” closer examination seems to indicate something not quite — felt perhaps, or at least synthetic suede — replacing the usual ‘Posite and Hyperfuse. It’s no less monochromatic either way, with the upper cloaked in blue, standing in stark contrast to black on the outsole, inner-lining and leather tongue. No word yet on a release date, but it’s likely not far off. All the more reason to start anticipating the King’s next shoe; a shoe we get our first look at today. Behold — the Nike LeBron 12!There’s still plenty of information we’ll need to gather, but here’s one thing I do know: this is absolutely the LeBron 12, no ambiguity about it. It was always expected to be a big departure from the norm for LeBron, and these first photos only bear that out.The upper is stripped down and streamlined, with the usual Posite, Hyperfuse and mesh replaced instead with composite mesh and what may even be some manner of performance knit, a la Flyknit or the like. Some kind of cables — Dynamic Flywire or perhaps Magwire — reinforce the foot and sync up through the laces, and the outsole employs bottom-loaded Zoom Air units for explosive cushioning. It’s still very early, so stay tuned for details, but let me reiterate that the legitimacy of the design has been confirmed: You’re looking at the Nike LeBron 12.Photos via Kicks or Die.Previous story Air Jordan 1 Mid White/Infrared 23Next story Nike Magista Soccer Boot | Releasing This WeekRelated PostsNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningApril 28, 2015Nike LeBron 12 Low “Entourage” Release NearsApril 27, 2015Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Rubber City” Release DateApril 24, 2015Nike LeBron 12 Low “Entourage” | In DetailApril 23, 2015Edward Del Rosario:2014/05/23 at 1:18 amWhoa.FacebookSearch NikeBlog.comRecent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!Recent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!MIssionTo provide the most up to date news, images, and opinions on today's top sneaker company.FIND ARTICLESHomeAboutAdvertise on NBContactPrivacyTwitterFacebookRSSNikeBlog.com is not affiliated with the Nike, Inc. brand in any way, shape, or form. The latest LeBron James joint drops this weekend, a conspicuously bright colorway that could double as a Knicks edition. The Nike LeBron 11 Atomic Orange sports that titular color over the entire upper, opting for monochromatic Hyperfuse-and-Hyperposite blocking in lieu of the contrasting uppers that launched the shoe. Blue then contrasts on the branding and inner-lining, adding a little variety to the largely two-color palette.Unlike the standard LeBron launch, this one will hit retailers on Friday, rather than Saturday, and retails for the usual $200.Nike LeBron 11Atomic Orange/Green Abyss-Glacier IceStyle #: 616175-8007 February 2014$200
