Additionally, the shoe, which features a mix of black and blue over the upper with some white contrasting, will be available tonight at midnight EDT on nikestore.com (that means 9p PDT). While the shoe makes perfect use of the Kentucky colors, much like the ‘home’ version previewed yesterday, the general release version will not feature the Kentucky logo on the tongue.#gallery-1 {margin: auto;}#gallery-1 .gallery-item {float: left;margin-top: 10px;text-align: center;width: 33%;}#gallery-1 img {border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;}#gallery-1 .gallery-caption {margin-left: 0;}/* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */Nike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PENike LeBron 9 – Kentucky PEPrevious story Nike Zoom Kobe VII Black/White-Del SolNext story Nike LeBron 9 – Miami Hurricanes | Release DateRelated PostsNike “Cut the Net” T-Shirts Available for Final 4 TeamsMarch 30, 2015Nike Rolls Out White Hyper Elite Uniforms for Elite NCAA TeamsFebruary 20, 2015Nike LeBron 12 ‘Kentucky Wildcats PE’November 24, 2014New Kentucky Basketball Uniforms for Bahamas TourAugust 4, 2014FacebookSearch NikeBlog.comRecent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!Recent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!MIssionTo provide the most up to date news, images, and opinions on today's top sneaker company.FIND ARTICLESHomeAboutAdvertise on NBContactPrivacyTwitterFacebookRSSNikeBlog.com is not affiliated with the Nike, Inc. brand in any way, shape, or form. Arguably the best colorway to date of LeBron’s latest, the Nike LeBron 11 Terracotta Warrior release date is fast approaching, now just nine days away. So what do you say we celebrate with a round of official photos?Inspired by the Terracotta Army, an exhibition of millennia-old warrior statues that LeBron James visited in Xi’an, China in 2011 — read more about that here, including how the Army informs this shoe’s colors — the Warrior sports a distinct pattern throughout the silver Hyerposite piecing, set against silver Hyperfuse and black mesh for a simple contrast. A patterned purple Swoosh meanwhile really pops at the midfoot, while a crazy teal/purple/red print adorns the inner-lining.The Terracotta Warrior drops next (not this) Tuesday, and retail is set for $200. I have difficulty imagining a scenario in which the shoe doesn’t sell-out very quickly, so plan accordingly.Nike LeBron 11Mine Grey/Electro Purple-Mercury Grey-NewsprintStyle #: 616175-00526 November 2013$200
LeBron’s twelfth signature shoe has been caught in a team purgatory of sorts so far, designed while he was still with the Heat, and thus bereft of Cavs-specific colorways, though that’s where he’ll be playing during the coming season. (Although, thanks to both squads sporting red, a couple colorways so far are more or less?interchangable.) As a nice change of pace, the latest colorway ignores all of that, coming straight out of left field. Heat related? Nope. Cavs inspired? Not at all. Wildly eye-popping? In spades. One of the first editions to feature a patterned overlay, the Nike LeBron 12 Orange/Volt rocks a bright orange mesh construction, set off by volt branding and blue accents. Then comes that overlay, which starts out grey with a slight orange gradient, before striking volt streaks run the length of the piecing. It’s an aggressive look, undoubtedly, but then LeBron’s shoes have never really been about playing it safe. How do you like this beacon of brightness?Photos via SuppliedPDX.
