The latest shoe to pair LeBron’s on-court dominance with his cutting-edge off-court style is finally upon us. The Nike LeBron 11 EXT Blue Suede releases at select retailers today, April 10.A nod to LeBron’s occasionally frequently flashy sartorial sense, the latest EXT features the silhouette of the on-court XI completely revamped for high-fashion’s sake. Gone is the Hyperfuse, mesh and ‘Posite, the upper instead cloaked entirely in molded blue suede. Black then contrasts on the leather sockliner and thin outsole, keeping the palette simple and the looks striking.Grab a pair at select stockists today, including Nikestore.com at 8am EDT. Retail, per the usual for the NSW-styled EXT model, is set at $200.Nike LeBron 11 EXT SuedeGame Royal/Game Royal-BlackStyle #: 656274-44010 April 2014$200
The backstory-inspired LeBron 11 iD concepts continue this week, this time looking to the 2008 Olympics and Team USA’s Gold Medal turn for design cues. As such, let’s call it the NIKEiD LeBron 11 Gold Medal. As an odd deviation from the previous LeBron 11 iDs we’ve covered this week, this one is actually not buildable on NIKEiD.com right now, due to the fact that the Green/Yellow Chroma feature used for the ‘Posite overlays is currently unavailable. Look for its return this week though, at which point, when mixed with the white mesh and branding and red outsole, this colorway can once again be created on NIKEiD.com.

As seen in this Nike LeBron 12 prototype, things could have been dramatically different.Rather than the Hyperposite-overlaid upper comprised of an equitable, unchanging mesh — that being the composition of the actual LeBron 12 — the prototype features a different build altogether. Several layers of open mesh are stacked together through the toe, transitioning to a thinner, more solid construction at the midfoot and heel. The ‘Posite overlays are entirely altered, looking more like a rubberized synthetic than . . . well, Posite.Another thing worth noting: It looks like LeBron and Nike Basketball knew what kind of outsole and cushioning they wanted from day one. The Nike LeBron 12 prototype’s outsole is virtually identical to that of the GR LeBron 12.Photo via wowmeeddie.Previous story Nike Air Max 93 CITRUS | Another LookNext story Air Jordan XI Legend Blue | Detailed PhotosRelated PostsNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningApril 28, 2015Nike LeBron 12 Low “Entourage” Release NearsApril 27, 2015Nike LeBron 12 EXT “Rubber City” Release DateApril 24, 2015Nike LeBron 12 Low “Entourage” | In DetailApril 23, 2015FacebookSearch NikeBlog.comRecent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!Recent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!MIssionTo provide the most up to date news, images, and opinions on today's top sneaker company.FIND ARTICLESHomeAboutAdvertise on NBContactPrivacyTwitterFacebookRSSNikeBlog.com is not affiliated with the Nike, Inc. brand in any way, shape, or form.
