The Nike LeBron 8 v2 Grey/Black-White features an upper comprised almost entirely of medium grey (in Flywire and that translucent material characteristic of the LeBron 8 v2) with a black lacing system, white outsole and clear Max Air unit. No word yet on a release date, but damned if this isn’t the best LeBron 8 so far. Behold, Qualls’ “$5000” LeBron X Honeywell. The above quotation marks are, of course, due to the fact that the shoes aren’t quite worth $5K. In fact, mosey on over to Flight Club, not exactly known as the sneakerhead’s bargain bin, and you’ll see a $1000 price tag, which is probably at the high end.Regardless, sneaker talk on “Conan,” including Qualls mentioning his upcoming Queen Latifah-helmed film about sneaker culture, is always worth a watch, right? And the shoe certainly has some value, thanks largely to scarcity. Created by Honey Nut Cheerios for their recent ad campaign, there are only about 250 pairs of the Must Be The Honey LeBron 11 (aka “Honeywell”) in circulation.Previous story Nike Air Max 1 Essential Red/GumNext story Silver/Volt Foamposite One Releases in Two DaysRelated PostsNike LeBron X Low REPTILE Releases in Two DaysOctober 8, 2013Nike LeBron X Low REPTILE Release DateOctober 1, 2013Honey Nut Cheerios x Nike LeBron X MUST BE THE HONEYSeptember 3, 2013Nike LeBron X NSW Lifestyle Black/Sail Release DateSeptember 3, 2013FacebookSearch NikeBlog.comRecent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!Recent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!MIssionTo provide the most up to date news, images, and opinions on today's top sneaker company.FIND ARTICLESHomeAboutAdvertise on NBContactPrivacyTwitterFacebookRSSNikeBlog.com is not affiliated with the Nike, Inc. brand in any way, shape, or form. On the eve of the Nike LeBron X Pure Platinum release date — it’s scheduled for May 4 — we take one more look at the rather ostentatious (in a good way) colorway, a remarkable take on the standard X in a LeBron landscape increasingly populated by Elites and Lows.Inspired by astronauts’ re-entry into earth’s atmosphere upon exiting outer space — and in fact nicknamed the LeBron X Re-entry by Nike — the shoe sports a metallic silver upper, finished with an iridescent sheen and set off by a black midsole and turquoise inner-lining and outsole.I haven’t really been gauging hype much, but based purely on how damn attractive this shoe is, it’s probably best to anticipate an immediate sellout.Nike LeBron XPure Platinum/Black-Sport TurquoiseStyle #: 541100-0084 May 2013$180
